In connection with the guardianship reform, a computer system shall be developed for the new guardianship administration. The computer system will be a combination of standard components and special development adapted to the guardianship assignments and it shall have both the guardianship administration and the guardians as users. In this enquiry framework agreements are wanted with service providers of development services and development tools for the guardianship application. The development work will mainly be carried out in 2012 with the aim of the system being ready before the reform comes into force 1.7.2013. North & Mid Wales contractor framework. The trunk road network in Wales is managed on behalf of the Welsh Government by three trunk road agencies covering North, Mid and South Wales. WG has decided that, from 1.4.2012, the Welsh trunk road network will be administered by a single trunk road management unit with 2 geographic area of operation, comprising North & Mid Wales (N&MWTRA) and South Wales (SWTRA). The new contractor framework will be utilised by the new North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency (N&MWTRA) and may also be used by the partner authorities, comprising: Ceredigion County Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Denbighshire County Council, Flintshire County Council, Gwynedd Council, Isle of Anglesey County Council, Powys County Council, and Wrexham County Borough Council. The contractor framework will be divided into geographical lots with price bandings, and consist of 2 category of works; programmed works and urgent works. The contractor framework will involve new construction works, improvement works and maintenance renewals for the following construction activities: — Civil engineering, — Highways & structures, — Tunnels, — Environmental, — Geotechnical, — Coastal engineering & land drainage, — Town centre improvements, — Infrastructure regeneration, — Walking and cycling schemes, — Integrated transport schemes, — Mechanical & electrical schemes. The framework will also be available to all partner authorities for County projects. UK-Edinburgh: construction work for houses
Property development for West Pilton Crescent, Edinburgh. The City of Edinburgh Council, wish to appoint a contractor to carry out the design and build of approximately 35 new homes (houses and flats) in the West Pilton Crescent development at Pennywell / Muirhouse, Edinburgh. These homes are classified as affordable housing, and therefore it is preferred that contractors interested in bidding have good knowledge and experience of delivering affordable housing projects. The design has been completed up to stage D (Design Development) of the RIBA outline plan of work 2007 for these homes, and the Council will novate the design team over to the selected contractor once the contract has been awarded. The Council expect that site works would begin late summer / early autumn 2012. Responses to an initial pre qualification questionnaire (PQQ) will be used to create a short list of up to five technically and financially competent contractors, who will then be invited to tender for the works at the invitation to tender (ITT) stage.
