UK-Liverpool: repair and maintenance services of building installations
Partnering contracts for responsive repairs and void maintenance at social housing properties based in the Pennine and Midland areas of the UK. The Riverside Group Limited has developed a new partnering strategy for the provision of responsive repairs and void repairs to its properties. The first phase of the implementation of that strategy was the appointment of one partner contractor covering approximately 10 000 units of housing stock in the North Merseyside area. After completion of this The Riverside Group Limited appointed contractors for the long term delivery of responsive repairs and maintenance services to approximately 5 000 properties in the South East of England, 2 600 properties predominantly in North East England, Kingston upon Hull and North Lincolnshire and 12 000 properties in South Merseyside. Following this The Riverside Group Limited wished to appoint a contractor(s) for the long term delivery of responsive repairs and void maintenance services to approximately 4 780 properties in the Pennine area and a contractor(s) for approximately 5 301 properties in the Midland area including approximately 1 279 properties on the M4 corridor Bristol and Gloucester. These final two zones form the subject of this Contract Award Notice. The Riverside Group Limited sub divided each zone into lots. The Pennine zone was split as follows: lot 1 Pennine East with approx 655 properties and lot 2, Pennine West with approx 4 096 properties. The Midland zone will be split as follows; lot 3 Midlands East with approx 2 972 properties, lot 4 Midlands West with approx 1 037 properties and Lot 5 M4 corridor, Bristol & Gloucester with approx 1 279 properties. The Riverside Group used one pre-qualification questionnaire that was required to be completed by applicants to both the Pennine zone and the Midland zone. Each zone was evaluated and awarded separately. A contractor could apply for one zone or both zones and any combination of lots within a zone. The form of contract is TCP 2005 ACA standard form of contract for term partnering which will run for a minimum duration of 5 years with the option to extend for up to 10 years. However, given The Riverside Group Limited's commitment to long term partnering, over the term of the agreement they may wish to review the form of contract, in conjunction with the successful partner. This may include a Joint Venture arrangement. The successful partner contractor will undertake a full responsive repairs service across all trades. It is not presently envisaged that the appointed partner will undertake annual gas servicing or gas-related responsive call-outs, or planned or cyclical works, from commencement of the contract however, these options may be explored at a later date. The ensuing arrangement may be used by any or all of The Riverside Group Limited's current or future subsidiaries, along with any other organisation with similar interests and operations to The Riverside Group Limited who wishes to join the contract at a later date. There may be other organisations within The Riverside Group Limited whose properties may also become subject to this contract award notice, it is envisaged that these properties may present an opportunity to the selected partner.
