The Trust is seeking to appoint a partnership organisation to design and implement a number of commercial and operational changes to their "soft" facilities management services with the aim of reducing expenditure, increasing income and introducing best practice. The partner will need to demonstrate proven expertise in retail catering management (including staff and visitor services and vending services) and also in the efficient management of staff resources in relation to cleaning and portering services. The contract may take the form of an executive lease, or similar, where the private sector partner allows the Trust access to its "intellectual capital" of commercial systems of working such as retail catering offers or branding, productivity in working practices, management information systems and project management. A profit share/cost reduction model could form part of such an agreement. Access to private sector capital could also be part of the scheme. There would be no transfer of staff to the private sector.
