UK-Enfield: parking services
Parking pay by phone services. Enfield Council is inviting applications from contractors who can demonstrate extensive experience in providing a parking pay by phone contract. This is a joint contract with Redbridge Council however on award, the boroughs will operate separately. At present both boroughs are running pay by phone parking trials in there off off-street car parks. During the length of the contract both boroughs intend to broaden the scope of the service on-street. Applications are invited from suitably experienced companies to set-up, implement and provide a pay by phone service for parking. It is expected that these integrated systems will provide access to real time data, provide financial and management reports and accept all forms of cashless parking. Targeted HIV prevention. The objective of this project will deliver a national programme of HIV health promotion for men who have sex with men (MSM) and African communities. The successful service provider will undertake targeted HIV prevention work where the key deliverables will be to: — Increase HIV testing to reduce undiagnosed and late diagnoses in both groups, — Support sustained behavioural change to prevent HIV infection within these targeted groups, — Continue to develop the evidence base on effective interventions and outcomes, — Develop social marketing interventions and new information technologies where appropriate, — Reduce stigma within affected communities and more widely. The project will build on existing successful programmes which have engaged at a PR and social marketing level with key gay men's commercial organisations including pubs, clubs and saunas, and with African Communities and faith leaders, in order to encourage them to promote the materials and information resources that promote best practice. This is a 3 year contract with the option to extend for a further year. The Department of Health reserves the right for yearly reviews based on funding and performance. A national framework contract is required to provide a response to pollution incidents, particularly where, i.e. spillage/fly-tipping, has occurred. The incident may involve a number of parties, such as emergency services, hauliers, local authorities and a landowner, each with a different role to play. The Environment Agency takes responsibility for dealing with waste management issues arising from an incident where the polluter or landowner has not or are yet to be been identified or when timely intervention is required. Scope of services: site and incident specific risk assessments; Isolation of unknown waste materials (i.e. liquid or solid materials) and oil, to contain and make secure; Handling and transportation in accordance with all current legislation; Safe and segregated storage both on and off site; Sampling and Analysis; Appropriately Permitted disposal/treatment; Provision of chain of custody, recording systems and certifications; Project Management of Planned Clearance of Illegal Waste Sites. Miradore Business Development. Miradore is a fast growing Finnish software company, whose IT device management solution is targeted to managed service providers (MSP). Miradore has been accepted into a Tekes funded program (NIY2) supporting young and innovative Finnish companies to start their international expansion. As a part of this program, Miradore has decided to build permanent presence in several new markets and is now looking at starting cooperation with local sales agents. Markets of interest are Belgium and Holland. The sales agent is expected to work as a Miradore representative having responsibility to lead the local business development and sales activities. There is a possibility that the scopre of waste collected could change over the course of the framework agreement to include items such as litter bin arisings etc. The project will almost certainly involve the disposal of the arisings but may well also involve their processing, in a means to be decided.
