B-Brussels: update and upgrade of the report of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and of the General Court related to public procurement
Update and upgrade of the report of the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and of the General Court related to public procurement. A report on the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and of the General Court concerning public procurement (the current report in French) is one of the most important working tools available to public procurement lawyers employed in the Public Procurement Directorate C of the Directorate-General for the Internal Market and Services. It aims at facilitating full, complete and easy access to the jurisprudence of both courts on EU law on public procurement for everyday work of the officials responsible for enforcement actions in Member States and those responsible for the preparation of policy initiatives in the area of public procurement. The first version of the report has been prepared in-house. However given the increasing workload of the units in charge of public procurement, its update has been discontinued since December 2004. Therefore, there is a need to update the content of the existing report with jurisprudence rendered since January 2005 and to continue its systematic review. In addition, in order to further facilitate the use of the report and to render it more functional and user-friendly, its format (currently a MS Word document) should be upgraded, taking into account existing information and communication technologies.
