EIS7209 Framework for application development & related IT services (FADS 2011). This procurement aims to create a framework arrangement for the British Library. The purpose of the framework arrangement is to allow the British Library to quickly and cost effectively call down additional application development and related IT services to undertake tasks to assist with peaks of demand. The successful suppliers chosen to operate under the framework must demonstrate an appropriate skill set, proven track record of successful delivery and provide excellent value for money. The framework arrangement will contain no contractual commitment on any party for the provision of any particular quantity nor will framework arrangement involve any commitment to purchase but will serve to commonly specify the terms and conditions of contract that will apply when specific work-packages are procured via 'mini-tender' over the duration of the arrangement. The framework arrangement will be for ad-hoc tasks and will be non-exclusive. The intended duration of the framework arrangement is a maximum of 4 years.
