40/DM - Gym equipment for the University Sports department (3 lots) This tender has now been awarded. The University of Sheffield proposes to refurbish its existing fitness centre, S10health. S10health has over 160 stations including cardio, fixed strength, free weights and spin bikes. The refurbishment will include the following key elements: Replacement of all current equipment with new including upgraded specifications where appropriate. A full redecoration, including, flooring (where needed) is required including suggested designs and layout plans. The new Sport Sheffield colours and logos should be incorporated into these designs where appropriate. Moving the free weights area (currently on the mezzanine) to the lower floor and utilising the space created on the upper floor to create a dedicated spin area. This would also create space for another functional training area. Formalisation and clearer identification of zones for inductions, functional fitness, free weights, spinning, cardio and fixed resistance. Removal of front desk and creation of new instructor points at key points around the gym floor.
