Re-development of Southend Hospital Outpatients Atrium. The Trust has secured a private sector partner to re-develop existing retail services in two locations to ensure provision of enhanced catering, retail and front entrance facilities. The provider is leasing a number of retail units from the Trust and in turn granting and managing a number of sub-underleases. Associated fit out works and facilities management are the responsibility of and undertaken by the provider. UK-Glasgow: quay wall construction work
Energy Park Fife: Quayside 2 - Design & Construct (P12-0003). The original Contract Notice read: Suppliers must register interest in this contract opportunity through the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) procurement portal – www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk. The pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) documentation is availabe for download from there. Suppliers should submit their completed pre-qualification questionnaires through the secure postbox on Public Contracts Scotland no later than the stated deadline. The postbox facility will not accept any submissions after the deadline and it is the responsibility of suppliers to ensure submissions are received before the deadline. Scottish Enterprise (SE) in partnership with Fife Council is undertaking a major redevelopment at the former Kvaerner Yard in Methil, Fife. The ambition is to create the Energy Park Fife, a new strategic industrial facility capable of securing emerging opportunities in the traditional and renewable energy sector. SE is in discussions with a number of developers and potential occupiers regarding proposals for new development. Around 56 Ha of reclaimed, serviced land will be made available with direct access to Firth of Forth. Re-construction works for Quayside 1 has been approached in two phases. Phase 1 and 2 of Quay 1 are now complete. Re-development of adjacent Quayside 2 is about to be procured and the value of this work is estimated to be GBP3M-GBP4M. A Contractor is now required to implement a design and construction contract for Quayside 2. This quay is being used by an existing occupier on the site and a staged approach may need to be adopted. The contract might need to reflect this. To be considered, contractors will be required to demonstrate relevant experience and detailed working knowledge of comparable contracts. The New Engineering Contract has been used extensively for this project. Management experience of this should be highlighted. It is also envisaged that accreditation (e.g. ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) will be very relevant. Health and safety is obviously a critical consideration generally, and specific knowledge and experience of safety in relation to marine environments is sought. UK-Cardiff: retail trade services
Electronic Point of Sale Replacement at Cadw Sites. Cadw is the Welsh Government's historic environment service, working for a well protected and accessible historic environment for Wales. Cadw has responsibility for the staffing and commercial operation of 26 monuments around Wales. Each of these sites has some form of admission ticket sales with approximately 1.7m transactions per annum together with retail gift sales to the value of 4 500 000 GBP per annum. Cadw is looking to procure a modern state-of-the art e-Commerce solution (to include hardware and software) which comprises an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) solution and on-line trading capability that is flexible, scalable and robust. The solution must also be capable of integrating to other on-line trading opportunities in the future. Preferably web based, the solution must be accessible remotely for administrative purposes and be capable of supporting (both real-time and off-line modes), a number of fixed EPoS terminals across the existing 26 sites, several mobile EPOS terminals at remote locations throughout Wales and an HQ control unit in an efficient and effective manner. The requirements are likely to consist of touch screen tills with cash drawers, barcode readers, printers, cash and credit card handling devices, and hand held terminals. Cadw HQ will perform the back office activities such as stock ordering and data/system maintenance. The system must provide comprehensive management information capability in terms of, but not limited to, suppliers, stock management, sales analysis, income, etc. across sites both individually and collectively. Sales and transactions must be capable of being integrated / transferrable to a SAP finance system in an automated manner. The costs must be for the total solution (whether this relates to hosted, purchase, lease, rental or a combination thereof) throughout the term of the contract including hardware, software, licenses, implementation, training, data migration, software updates and on-site support and maintenance (including hardware repair/replacement) across all sites. Expressions of interest are sought from providers who have a proven track record in working with heritage/visitors attractions.
