UK-Wolverhampton: health and social work services
Black Country Independent Mental Health Advocacy Service. Wolverhampton City Council, on behalf of the four Black Country Councils and NHS Commissioners- Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton are seeking suitably qualified organisations to tender for the Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) Services, to cover all the Black Country. The contract to commence in October 2012. In the Mental Health Act 2007 qualifying patients in England must have access for help from an Independent Mental Health Advocate. This service to be available for people admitted to inpatient services for Adult Mental Health, Older Adult Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, though qualifying patients will be prioritised. Roles and responsibility of IMHA: — IMHA must be available to all qualifying users, — The advocate is independent of any professional involvement, — IMHA will help users obtain and understand information regarding the legislation they are subject to, the conditions or restrictions they are subject to, and the medical treatment proposed, — IMHA will help users obtain information concerning their rights and how to exercise them. In addition to evidencing the ability to deliver the required service, potential providers must be able to demonstrate: — A thorough understanding of mental health legislation, — Detailed Knowledge of the health and social care environment together with key drivers, — Innovation and creativity in the delivery of the service, — Evidence of integrated working with other partners, — Ability to deliver the service from bases within the boundaries of the Black Country locality. Those who tender will be selected on the basis of the experience, capability, quality and safety standards and financial standing. The initial process will entail a Pre-Qualifying Questionnaire which is to be returned no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday 2.2.2012. Only those that successfully meet the qualifying criteria will be invited to tender, with tender packs to be sent out in March 2012. The service needs to be flexible to meet the variable demands of the industry. There are five main elements to the service required these being development of technical solutions for clients, technical planning, an inclusive package of technical support & equipment included in the venue rental of the Main Auditorium, ICT services based on customer needs and exhibition service including shell scheme and electrical. This is one element in a programme to establish the new business model for the Harrogate International Centre. Harrogate International Centre - Stewarding and Portering Services. The Harrogate International Centre (owned by Harrogate Borough Council) wish to contract for a stewarding and portering service to cover the Centre. The service needs to be flexible to meet the variable demands of the industry. To include front of house services on events, movement and placing of furniture for events and general requirements at the venue, fire checks prior to openings and management of evacuations. The stewarding operation required needs to be customer focussed depending on the specific nature of the event these being conferences, exhibitions and entertainments this will be "softer" in nature than what would be normally provided from a manned guarding service. MT-Blata l-Bajda: programming services of application software

In March 2010 an invitation to tender was published to establish an enabling framework for the procurement of maintenance, support and operational services for software applications developed by MITA. The Framework, which was issued for a period of one year, has been active since November 2010 and a number of approved suppliers have been engaged to provide the requested services to MITA. The Framework, developed in collaboration with the IT industry, is a transparent and effective strategy to engage the IT industry in providing services previously done by MITA. This CEI will establish a new framework agreement that is modelled on the previous one but that has been amended to improve security and also flexibility. Battery technical support. Batteries. Test and evaluation. Light weapons photography and batteries project team require comprehensive battery and power source project support for the duration of the contract. The required support covers all DE&S programmes (land, sea & air) but excludes submarine and torpedo main power batteries. Holistic broad ranging technical support and expertise is required for the full range of electro-chemical power and energy storage technologies (batteries, fuel cells and super-capacitors etc.) that are employed in current or future defence applications. This required support includes laboratory test and evaluation (from single electrical tests to complex electronic and environmental assessment programmes) including abusive hazard and safety tests. The required facilities shall be capable of assessing cells and batteries typically from 50 mAh to 400 Ah capacity and generally up to 48 Volts (occasionally higher). In addition to conventional products various reserve and thermal systems may also require evaluation. The ability to provide a diverse spectrum of discharge loads (single and multistage) in constant resistance, potential, current and power is essential for duty cycle testing to reflect a broad range of applications with currents from <1μA to >1 000A all to be performed within specified environmental conditions. The facilities should also be capable of cycling rechargeable batteries automatically (typically handling 50 batteries simultaneously) with individual control and monitoring, also within specified environmental conditions.
