Shallow drilling at the Jan Mayen ridge summer 2013. In summer 2013 the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (OD), henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, is planning to carry out core drillings at the Jan Mayen ridge (south of the Jan Mayen Island). The objective is to increase the knowledge of the geology in the area. The plan is to drill shallow drilling holes (shallower than 200 m below the sea bed). It is expected to be drilled approx. 6 of these drilling holes with an operation time of approx. 40 days. The water depth in the area varies between approx. 550 and 1 800 metres. The drilling location will be selected by the Awarding Authority's geological professionals. An external scientific coordinator related to the technical implementation of the drillings (selection of technical solution, participation in the drilling operation) will be required. The CAA has an ongoing requirement for mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance at its two main sites, as detailed below. The Contractor must have relevant experience of running performance contracts of similar size and complexity and working with appropriate blue-chip companies and / or public bodies. 1. CAA House (located at Holburn, London) CAA House is a 1960s built headquarters building of about 32 300 m².
