UK-Bristol: software package and information systems
BWPC - connecting care. Connecting Care is the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire [BNSSG] Interoperability Programme. It aims to deliver a detailed, local shared patient record. This will deliver integrated clinical and social health information sourced from a variety of existing clinical and social care information systems currently in use – thus providing a unified view of information that can be used to facilitate improved care provision and clinical decision-making. BNSSG are seeking to develop a strategic partnership with a supplier to work with them on their connecting care programme. It is envisaged that the solution will be some form of "health & social care information exchange" or "portal solution". However the BNSSG programme is open to creative proposals from suppliers that meet our requirements. The contract for work on connecting care will be set up in 2 parts/stages. It is intended that the first stage of connecting care will be a limited deployment to support unplanned / urgent care. A crucial part of the first stage will be to "prove the benefits" and check the viability of and appetite for the full strategic solution. Importantly, it will seek to examine if delivering a "unified patient view" will provide the potential for real, cashable benefits to be realised – which is intrinsically linked to the delivery of a business case to support the full strategic solution (in the second stage). Assuming a successful first stage...stage two is where connecting care would be "rolled out" more widely to support other areas of care – i.e. a wider more strategic deployment of the solution. The contract will be set up clearly in 2 distinct stages to match the overall programme approach. The stages will be separate. However, it would be the intention of the local programme to continue to work with the same supplier, in partnership on the Second Stage of delivery as BNSSG are keen to set up and develop a strategic partnership with a supplier. However, if the first stage is not able to prove its worth, then the programme will not be progressing to a second stage – and consequently the contract between BNSSG and the selected supplier would cease If the first stage does not demonstrate a successful partnership, the BNSSG Community reserve the right to complete the first stage and to commence discussions with the secondary provider from the procurement / tender process, the Community reserve the right to review the success and progress of the first stage at incremental points in the contract timetable. Connecting care is looking for a strategic partnership with a supplier whose solutions must be adaptable or extendable from to meet the future needs of the connecting care organisations – i.e. are able to support both the planned first stage and the fuller strategic rollout in the second stage. Connecting care therefore reserves the option to utilise additional existing and future functionality provided by the chosen supplier. CPV: 48000000, 48100000, 48900000. ...
