UK-Hengoed: milk
Supply and distribution of fresh pasteurized milk. Caerphilly County Borough Council requires a framework to be put in place for the supply and distribution of fresh pasteurized milk to various establishments (including schools, day centres, residential homes, leisure centres and any other corporate buildings) throughout the Council. All milk must be cow's milk and shall be pasteurized and homogenized and produced in the EU. All milk must meet the specifications and nutritional compositions detailed by the United Kingdom Dairy Council, London. The Council will only consider school milk thirds (189 ml to 250 ml) in recyclable poly bottles. The drinking milk (Wales) Regulations 2010 (Statutory Instrument 2010 No. 1492 (W.135)) as amended shall apply in relation to this contract. The Council will require the successful suppliers to conduct business electronically, including but not limited to purchase order processing and invoice submission and as such, suppliers will be required to register on the exchange Wales eTrading portal upon receipt of an invitation issued to the supplier following award on to the framework. Prior to the commencement of the framework the preferred bidders will have to participate in a 3rd Party Food Hygiene audit and obtain certification of approval. The cost of this audit is borne by the Council. Under the framework there is no guarantee that goods will be purchased under the framework and will be wholly subject to specific requirements by the Council at any given time during the course of the framework period. NHS Continuing Healthcare Services PHASE 3 - East Midlands PCTs. East Midlands Primary Care Trust (PCT) Commissioners seek expressions of interest for the provision of Continuing Healthcare Services in the East Midlands region. EMPACT will be undertaking this process on behalf of the East Midland PCTs. The original process Phase 1 (OJEU 357786), was run as an AWP (Any Willing Provider) process, but Phase 2 and this Phase 3 will be run as AQP (Any Qualified Provider). This is in accordance with the DoH guidance. Commissioners aim to improve the way care home patient placements are commissioned due to historical inconsistencies and variance across the region, include pricing and cost, specifications of care, quality monitoring, and contract cover and management. The PCTs intend to move towards a more consistent structure which includes the introduction of the 2011/12 - NHS Standard Care Home Services Contract (Multilateral). The procurement process applied will be an "Any Qualified Provider" (AQP) procurement process, whereby the Commissioner (PCT) publishes their terms and conditions of business and any provider that both accepts the terms and is deemed a qualified and suitable potential provider is included on an 'approved provider' list. The AQP process will focus on NHS, new, Fully-Funded packages of care for patients. This includes patients with Physical Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health (including Dementia), Brain Injury and End of Life Care, specified age groups under 65 and over 65. Only Approved Providers will be considered for NHS, new, fully-funded packages of care, and in order to become an Approved Provider for Continuing Care for East Midlands PCTs, current and prospective providers should submit an application and complete the AQP process. From the 1.6.2011 (Phase 1), East Midlands PCTs will only place any new patients with Approved Providers. This AQP process will be conducted on the EMPACT eTendering portal at www.emprocurenhs.bravosolution.co.uk.
