UK-Taunton: traffic-signal maintenance services
Contract for Traffic Signals and Ancillary Equipment. There are approximately 236 traffic signal installation, 2 access control systems, 24 vehicular actuated signs, 40 CCTV cameras and 40 automatic number plate recognition cameras in the county of Somerset. The Contractor will be required to maintain, repair, modify and replace the Council's stock of traffic signals and ancillary equipment. Ancillary equipment may include, but not be limited to CCTV equipment, automatic number plate recognition cameras (ANPR's), bus priority equipment, electronic messaging and warning systems, access control installations and wireless /hardwired telecommunications systems. There may also be a requirement to supply and install new traffic signal and ancillary equipment either as an upgrade of existing signals or ancillary equipment or as new works. The Contractor may be required to undertake civil works associated with the maintenance, repair, modification, replacement and new works associated with this contract. Typical work would be to supply and install ducting and chambers together with other works such as poles, tactile paving, kerbing, roadmarking, reinstatements and associated traffic management required to facilitate the works. The Contractor is responsible for liaising directly with third parties such as utility and highway maintenance Contractors regarding the switching on/off of equipment and associated "bagging" of signal poles. Those associated costs being recoverable by the Contractor directly from the utility/maintenance Contractors. The Contractor will be required to provide an emergency responsive service on a 24/7 basis. The Contractor will be required to assist with the updating of the Council's asset management system. The Contractor may be required to provide a Fault Management System (possibly using web-based technology) and make provision within his tendered rates accordingly. UK-Exeter: central-heating installation work
Gas central heating installation and boiler replacement contract. The Gas Central Heating Installation and Boiler Replacement Contract will be for 2 years with potential for extending a further 3 years only for boiler replacements – Budget 1 200 000 GBP for entire contract duration. As most of the larger central heating equipment will be bought directly by the Employer, this is, apart from the supply and fix of ancilliary pipework and fixings, in the main a fix only contract. So the budget reflects only the estimated value of the installation work less the cost of larger equipment. Full Central Heating Installations shall be at an average of 6 per week.
