Reactive Maintenance - Building Fabric & Glazing (Northamptonshire). Northamptonshire County Council wishes to appoint a Contractor or Contractors to provide a Building Fabric and Glazing Reactive Maintenance service across a range and variety of sites and properties within the geographical boundaries of the county of Northamptonshire. There will be three separate Lots to Tender for: LOT North (approx 80 sites in North of County). LOT South (approx 80 sites in South of County). LOT Central (approx 80 sites in Central County). Bidders will be able to tender for one or more of these Lots. The successful Contractor or Contractors will be required to provide a call-out service to undertake reactive maintenance works on building fabric and glazing on Council non-school buildings. For the purpose of this procurement exercise reactive maintenance can be considered as a repair to, or a replacement of, an element of the building fabric and glazing. The Council provides a 24/7/365 reactive maintenance service for non-school buildings. Reactive maintenance works can be categorised as emergency, urgent or routine - the purpose of which is to ensure that labour is directed to the building(s) where most needed given the demand at any specific time. Bidders will be expected to be able to provide evidence of competency in all forms of building construction in respect of both wet and dry trades i.e. bricklaying, plastering, joinery etc with particular emphasis on maintenance and repair rather than new installation. It is expected that the initial contract will last for a period of three years, with an option to extend for a further year. (3 + 1). Oracle 12 Joint Service Implementation. Oracle 12 Joint Service Implementation: Initially the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Lambeth and Lewisham have been in discussions to enter into a joint implementation of Oracle Release 12. All four Councils have used Oracle products for a number of years. Once the implementation is completed it is envisaged that other Councils, including but not limited to Croydon and Havering, will join with Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Lambeth and Lewisham to develop a 'shared services' model based on a standard 'vanilla' version of Oracle R12. The initial discussions have become consolidated into discussions held London wide under the auspices of Programme Athena which has extended to one other South East Authority. Programme Athena is a group of London Boroughs who share the vision of having common processes and procedures using a combined ERP system across many boroughs. The main purpose of this procurement is to contract a supplier of ICT systems integration services to support the transition to a combined single instance of Oracle E-Business 12 in response to the planned end date of software vendor support for the Oracle R11 of November 2013. Additionally the procurement exercise includes system hosting arrangements, new functionality and Oracle E-Business Suite support & maintenance arrangements. The proposed procurement route is an open tender under the restricted procedure over the EU threshold. The total estimated value of the contract is in the range £74.0m to £88.5m commissioned on fixed price terms. The procurement will be undertaken in conjunction with a cohort of other London Boroughs and a South East Local Authority. The procurement includes support & maintenance arrangements for Oracle E-Business Suite following QC advice on systems licensed in perpetuity. DFID is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Service Providers to effectively manage and facilitate the implementation of DFID's Forest Governance Markets and Climate Programme, which aims to facilitate reforms that will control illegal logging and trade in illegally logged timber, and extend lessons to other agricultural commodities that drive deforestation, such as palm oil, soy, beef and leather.
