Gwynedd Council are publishing this prior information notice in order to identify the level of interest from prospective contractors to undertake the construction of a new primary school (951 square metres) for 100 pupils in the Bro Dysynni Area of the County. The new school is to be constructed to a BREEAM Excellent standard and contractors will be expected to work with the Council to achieve its objectives in terms of providing community benefits. The chosen procurement route will be "traditional" with a fully developed design, drawings and full bill of quantities. Services will be via a performance specification. The method of construction will be primarily a steel frame structure, with as yet unspecified infill panels, however the location of the site within the Snowdonia National Park will have a bearing upon the materials which can be used.
