The Ministry of Defence has an urgent requirement for quantity 2 mobile mini cranes; these will be tracked and capable of operating safely on soft uneven ground. It is essential that they may incorporate safety systems that indicate and subsequently prevent dangerous lifting activities. Each mini crane will be capable of safely fulfilling the following lifting criteria: A load of 2 000 kg to a height of 6 m with a horizontal reach of 3.5 m; A load of 500 kg to a height of 9M with a horizontal reach of 4M. The mini cranes shall be capable of intricate lifting operations associated with aircraft repair and maintenance. The solution will be air transportable in current and pending military transport aircraft and be deployable as an under slung helicopter load. It must be a maximum of 4 000 kg in weight and fitted with appropriate certified lifting and tie down points. The requirement is for 2 singularly identical machines.
