Supply and installation of a ventilation system for the drum processing installation on the premises of the Institute for Transuranium Elements (ITU). On the premises of the ITU, this contract involves the supply, installation, commissioning and guarantee of a ventilation system for the drum processing installation (DPI) in rooms in the G Wing of the ITU. 4 exhaust air filter boxes will be obtained separately for the system and made available by the customer. They shall be set up and connected to the new ventilation system using appropriate ventilation ducts. Supply of a thermo programmed desorption (TPD) instrument for the ITU. The ITU is planning to purchase a thermo programmed desorption (TPD) system to be added to the existing SPECS surface science system. The TPD system is stand-alone, i.e. with its own pumping system. Samples will be transferred from the main system by a transfer rod, mounted on the TPD system. The sample holders are SPECS type — so the TPD must be compatible. The TPD system consists of a sample manipulator with heating/cooling capabilities (100 K to 1 300 K) at appropriate heating rates (from 1 to 10 K/s). A fast quadrupole mass-spec allows following the partial pressure of masses between 1 to 100 amu as a function of time (and temperature, the rate being given). Data will be transferred to a computer system with all necessary hardware/software to control temperature and record the mass-specs in a TPD programme.
