Framework Contract for the Supply of Corporate Clothing and Workwear (P.P.E). Scarborough Borough Council together with Selby, Ryedale, Hambleton and Richmondshire District Councils has created what is a fairly comprehensive list of Work wear and Corporate clothing requirements. We are therefore looking for a range of suppliers, with proven track records, to meet our requirements over the next 4 years. Scarborough Borough Council (SBC) set up its first Stand alone Clothing Products framework back in 2006. However the recent Central Government initiative, Total Place, encourages all public sector bodies to work together to share costs and generate combined savings. With this in mind, and with a genuine desire to form a working relationship with other like minded organisations, we have extended the framework to include Selby, Ryedale, Hamilton and Richmond District Councils .All orders for clothing will be placed by the Individual Authority. Because of our wide range of requirements, it is likely that we will look to award a contract to more than one supplier. The estimated total value of the contract, excluding VAT, for all participating authorities Clothing requirements is approximately 120 000 GBP per year. This is based on 20010/2011 spend. The approximate breakdown of this figure is 40 000 annual spends on corporate wear and Uniforms, and a further 80 000 annual spend on Work wear and Personal Protection equipment.
