Development of New Build Housing for Birmingham City Council. Birmingham City Council currently deliver their new housing programme through the Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust (BMHT) vehicle. This Framework will apply to this delivery and may also apply to other delivery vehicles which Birmingham City Council may utilise, including, but not limited to, partnerships, joint venture agreements and the like, with other Local Authorities, Registered Social Landlords and other organisations or bodies. It was anticipated that the Framework would be split into 3 separate 'Lots' (see later). Each 'Lot' would be further split into 'sub-lots'; it was anticipated that each sub-lot would have 4-6 providers appointed. Providers may be appointed for more than one lot or sub-lot. All estimated values and scheme sizes etc are subject to funding availability and are given for guidance only. UK-Sittingbourne: urban development construction work
Sittingbourne Town Centre. Swale Borough Council (SBC) is shortly to reach an agreement with Spirit of Sittingbourne LLP (Spirit) involving a phased regeneration project for Sittingbourne town centre. Spirit will design and create a range of new commercial and residential facilities as part of the project as well as redefining gateways into the town centre. To deliver the project, the current council offices will need to be relocated and Spirit will procure construction of alternative office accommodation on a new site. The office element of the project represents less than 5 % of the overall value of the project. The project will use land owned by SBC, Kent County Council (KCC) and Network Rail. KCC will transfer land into the project in return for space in the new office building, valued at c. 1.5m GBP. The Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells is a large acute 862 bedded Trust consisting of three main hospitals, Maidstone, Pembury and the Kent and Sussex Hospital based in Tunbridge Wells, providing a full range of general hospital services and specialist cancer care. A new hospital (The Tunbridge Wells Hospital) on the old Pembury Hospital site is now complete and will provide all inpatients accommodation in single rooms making it the first NHS acute hospital of its kind in the UK. The new 6 300sqm hospital will have 513 beds. This hospital will be fully operational in September 2011 when the Kent and Sussex hospital will close. The Trust requires a supply of custom made cannulation packs with the historic usage being in the region of 72 000 packs per annum. The supplier will be expected to hold a two month supply at no cost to the Trust. The Trust will have the right, on occasion, to change the specification of the pack; working with the supplier and will ensure all old stock is used prior to using the new pack.
