17-2012 Infrared camera system. Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt (FFI) shall purchase two new IR cameras that are sensitive within 1.5 -5 um (shortwave and medium wave infrared radiation). It is necessary to simultaneously measure in two different wavelength bands (within 1.5 to 5 um). It is considered that the easiest way to achieve this within the requirements is to use two identical cameras, with band pass filters inserted in each of the cameras. It is highly desirable that the two cameras are identical, to facilitate among other things, the integration of cameras into an existing software for shared and synchronized data acquisition. The cameras will be used for signature measurements of aircraft, helicopters and flares.
