Part of this work involves the instrumentation of three Class 350/1 units which will be formed into a 12 car consist in order to measure the contact force of the pantograph on the catenary at speed between 100 mph and 110 mph according to the requirement of British Standard EN 50137 which means: Vertical load at either end of each of the carrier strips. Vertical and longitudinal acceleration measurements at strips and pan head video recording of pantograph activity, the level of arcing of the pantograph and the impact on current collection. Based on objectives, the programme shall provide annual information of riverine inputs of nutrients and selected hazardous substances to Norway's coastal areas, how the inputs change over time and geographical distribution of the inputs. This programme will support reforms in countries that enter into partnership with the European Union under the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (EU FLEGT) Action Plan, and ensure links to efforts in developing partner countries to deliver Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD+). It will complement this with work with the private sector to promote markets in forest products from legal and well-managed sources and collaborative work with other countries to influence the demand for products from responsibly managed forests.
