DK-Copenhagen: installation services (except software)
Copenhagen Metro - Passenger Counting System. This contract notice relates to the procurement of a new passenger counting system for the Copenhagen Metro. The Passenger Counting System (PCS) provides counting information of all passengers travelling on the existing metro lines in Copenhagen, covering 22 stations (both above and below grounds). The systems must be able to register and tally people going into and out of the stations using sensors placed at all entry and exit points (approx. 64 locations in total). The scope of work shall include design, build, test (including all design proving, acceptance and system verification tests), supply, and testing and commissioning of the metro passenger counting system as well as training of the operation and maintenance staff. The following technical criteria are fixed criteria for the new passenger counting system: — sensors must communicate with a central database server, — access to the central database server will be web based, — extraction of miscellaneous user defined reports must be possible from the web based interface, — supply and installation of the central database server and supporting software is part of the contract, — the PCS must have the means to check the real-time accuracy of the sensors, — the PCS must be able to perform self-diagnosis of the sensors and report any discrepancies. The contract holder shall make an undertaking regarding spare parts availability. The system must adhere to the following performance criteria: — accuracy on each counter rod/ location, not less than 98 % (total and directional), — the accuracy shall be achieved within a height limitation, from the floor to the counting sensor at 2,4 - 3,5 meters, — the accuracy shall be achieved unaffected by light intensity, temperature, humidity and speed of the passengers moving under each sensor. 1096 Laboratory Goods and Services. Lot 1: Maintenance of laboratory equipment. Supply of maintenance services for existing laboratory equipment. The scope of this lot will include planned maintenance, breakdown response and consumables and parts needed for repair of equipment. The geographical scope of these works will mainly be within Thames Water's main laboratory in Reading but there will also be a smaller requirement for works elsewhere in the Thames Water region, at clean or waste water treatment works. Lot 2: Parts for laboratory equipment. Supply (including delivery) of replacement parts for laboratory equipment including fittings. Lot 3: Laboratory consumables. Supply (including delivery) of general laboratory consumable products to Thames Water's main Laboratory facility in Reading, and to a lesser extent will include deliveries to other clean and waste water sites in the Thames Water region. Reagent/s used must be able to detect both coliforms and E. coli in a single test using test samples of 100ml. Handling and testing are required to be quick and simple (e.g. a technician should be able to process a sample in around one minute). The kit must be able to produce confirmed unambiguous test results within 24 hours maximum and be sensitive to 1 organism per 100ml but up to at least 2000 organisms without dilution. The product should be able to deal with varying sample matrices including potable waters, raw waters and sewage sludges. The product should conform to the requirements as set out in UK Microbiology of Drinking Water. Scope of supply to include any associated equipment such as test bottles and comparators/controls required for use of the test kits (such items to be specifically identified by respondents to this Notice). The successful supplier may be required to provide equipment servicing and maintenance as part of the agreement award. The geographical spread of the supply of these goods and services is restricted to the main Thames Water laboratory in Reading. Lot 9: Water sampling and testing equipment: Cryptosporidium. Supply (including delivery) of complete filter units for capturing Cryptosporidium (oo)cysts in finished water. The units are to be capable of quick and simple fitting and removal in existing water sampling lines (at the final stage of clean water treatment). The (oo)cysts must remain captured until they are required to be released in the Laboratory (using a buffer washing process). UK-Newport: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support
Provision of IT infrastructure and support services. Wales & West Utilities (WWU) is an independent gas distribution network which owns and operates gas pipelines in Wales and the South West of England. The company was formed in June 2005 following the sale of a number of regional gas distribution networks by National Grid Transco. A completely new IT infrastructure and applications landscape was implemented in 2005 and 2006 and an IT organisation formed based on an outsourcing model. A small in-house IT team was assembled and 2 principal contracts established with outsourcing providers, one for infrastructure provision, support and services and one for applications support and development services. This contract provides for infrastructure provision, support and services (datacentre services, service desk and desktop support). Ofgem, the regulator for the gas industry, has stipulated a new price review period of 8 years starting on 1.4.2013. It is expected that the new contract will be for a similar duration (4 years + 4 years). The service provided is currently based on an onshore / offshore delivery model. The application support services are provided under a separate contract which is not subject to tender and is out of scope. Servers owned by WWU constitute an element of critical national infrastructure and are currently hosted at 2 data centres in the UK. The hosting must follow CPNI guidelines which can be found at www.cpni.gov.uk.
