Trade Advocacy Fund manager. Financial management consultancy services. The Department for International Development (DFID) wishes to engage a Service Provider (SP) to establish and manage the Trade Advocacy Fund, a flexible, demand-led facility aimed at helping the poorest developing countries participate more effectively in international trade negotiations. The SP will identify the needs of developing countries and Regional Economic Communities (RECs) for relevant, impartial, high-quality and timely technical and legal advice and analysis; training and capacity building; and logistical support (flights, accommodation, etc.) to participate in negotiations and disputes. The SP will meet these needs by engaging with private firms, training institutes, academia and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) based in developing countries and internationally. The Trade Advocacy Fund will total 4 000 000 GBP (which does not include the management cost), the duration will be for 2 years and includes a 6 month inception phase. There is a possible extension of up to 2 years, with potential further funding of 8 000 000 GBP subject to performance, continued need and availability of funding.
