Researching individual assessment in the school. Individual assessment shall promote learning and express the competence for each pupil individually, during and by the end of the education period. The object of the research project is to achieve knowledge of what distinguish class room practice when assessment is used as a tool for learning. The project is limited to include primary and lower secondary school and study preparatory education programme for upper secondary education and training. It will be important to document resemblance and distinction between the assessment practise for the various levels in the school system through the entire 13 years course. The assessment practice shall be elucidated for some subjects, e.g. subjects which are common core subjects for the entire or major parts of the education course.
