Transforming highways maintenance contract 2011. Transforming highways maintenance contract 2011 within the Borough. This will be a call off contract for the provision of improvements together with routine and planned maintenance. The duration of the resultant contract will be for 4 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years. The Council are looking to consolidate all their current arrangements preferably into a single contract with a single service provider including the transfer of plant, equipment and vehicles. Recognition will be given at the tender stage for the synergistic benefits of awarding the contract to a single contractor. Any eventual contract award will include minor highways improvements works dealing with discrete schemes up to a maximum contract value of 250 000 GBP but with the potential for the Council to award schemes up to a maximum contract value of 500 000 GBP at its discretion.
