Waste consultancy. Northamptonshire County Council wishes to appoint a contractor to provide technical & professional waste services, through a "call-off' framework agreement" to the Waste Management Department. This will allow the Council to fulfil it's obligations, responsibilities and liabilities in relation delivering it's statutory Waste Disposal Authority functions. Primarily these services will support the work and investigations around closed landfill sites. Headline service requirements will be around the investigation, remediation and management of the County Council's closed landfill sites, however the contractor(s) maybe required to provide professional and technical support, which could include investigations and technical support on other waste facilities eg. household waste recycling centres and waste transfer station facilities. It is expected that an initial contract will last for a period of forty eight months and will take the form of a call-off framework agreement, under which individual requirements for each requirement will be specified and priced according to a schedule of rates agreed as a result of this tender process. It is difficult to predict the exact value of this contract as, investigation and remediation requirements along with repairs & maintenance to waste management facilities are envisaged, but not yet defined.
