B-Melle: pressure-measuring equipment
Smart grids - remotely managed dataloggers for pressure measurements - EAN10AE070. Eandis aims to replace the existing, locally managed dataloggers used for pressure measurements by dataloggers that can be managed remotely. These dataloggers are present in the lower ranges (0-100 mbar) and the medium ranges (100 mbar–15 bar) of the pressure gas distribution network. They are used to measure the pressure (and temperature) on a 15-minute basis and are essential for the good exploitation of the gas distribution network. The data, recorded on pre-defined timestamps, are stored in the memory of the system and are send to a centralised server every night. This centralised system, on which the software of the supplier is installed, will manage the dataloggers remotely using wireless communication (GPRS). Communication based on an open protocol will be requested, to ensure easy integration with future AMM systems. On top of that, these dataloggers need to be able to send out alarms whenever the pressure crosses pre-programmed thresholds. These alarms will be communicated via the open protocol to the centralized system where corrective actions will be taken. The dataloggers will be battery operated and extra attention for the lifetime of the battery is required. Furthermore the loggers will issue an alarm if the battery is depleted. UK-Croydon: auditing services
Provision of water bill validation and cost reduction services. The Go-Ahead Group owns public transport companies that operate bus, rail, car-parking and aviation support services throughout the UK. Our companies are autonomous business units that work together wherever we find advantages in sharing experience and expertise from around our Group. Our companies are significant contributors to the UK's public transport infrastructure. The Go-Ahead Group operates several rail franchises through Govia, a joint venture between Go-Ahead (65 %) and Keolis SA (35 %) which is a French-based operator of passenger transport services in seven European countries and in Canada. Since our first rail franchise win in 1996, rail has become central to our business development plans. Rail division. We are the largest commuter rail operator in the south east. Our rail companies are; Southern, Southeastern and London Midland, and in June 2008 the Gatwick Express rail franchise was transferred to Southern. As a group we employ 10 000 staff, have a fleet of 776 trains and carry 331.7 million passengers a year on our services. The success of Go-Ahead is based on continuing improvements to the current range of services to improve customer satisfaction and provide passengers with a greater choice of destinations, journey times and methods of planning and booking tickets. Bus division. The bus industry is central in the UK's public transport infrastructure and the continued growth of the Go Ahead Group. Each year, two thirds of all UK public transport journeys - 4.6 billion - are made by bus, and 9 out of 10 people live within 7 minutes of a bus stop. This makes the bus the near-universally accessible starting point for public transport journeys. It's also where the Go-Ahead Group started in the late 1980s following the deregulation and privatisation of the UK bus industry. Today we have bus companies throughout the country, with particular expertise in heavily congested urban areas. Bus travel will be critical to a more integrated, more effective public transport infrastructure in the UK. Our initiatives to increase the number of bus journeys include investment in new technology, ongoing partnerships with stakeholder organisations and better integration with other modes of transport, especially rail. Contract description. This contract is for the provision of water bill validation and cost reduction services to all Go-AHead Group operating companies. The contract will be for a period of 2 years.
