1-VJ-210911 - Pathology Managed Services Pathology Systems, Consumables and Service Tender Salisbury NHS Trust is tendering for laboratory equipment, maintenance and servicing and all other associated consumables and/or reagents. The Trust is looking for a strategic partner for the provision of a managed service or a managed equipment service for the requirements across all the lots in this tender. It is anticipated that the managed service or managed equipment service will extend into other areas of the Trust over the life of the contract. Currently the Trust owns most of its analytical equipment used within the Pathology department. The majority of these items of equipment are now becoming aged and are due for replacement. Other equipments used are on a standard leasing arrangement. The current contractual arrangements for the supply of regeants, consumables and servicing will all be expiring over the coming 12-18 months. The requirements for this contract has been split into 3 lots; Chemistry and Immunoassay; Haematology and Coagulation; Blood Transfusion. Within each lot there may be further categorisation of the range, however, bids must be submitted on a lot basis. For the requirements in each lot, tenderers will be expected to be able to provide equipment, services, reagents and consumables either directly or through a primary contractor as part of a managed service. Tenderers will be expected to signify within the PQQ (see Part A, point 8) if they will be bidding as a primary contractor or as a third party. As part of this managed service it is the expectation of the Trust that the succesful bidder will oversee all aspects of supply and installation of new equipment, performance management, IT solutions, financial performance, enabling works, servicing and maintenance. The Managed Service Agreement will be for 7 plus 7 years. It is expected that there will be a refresh of equipment/technology should the Trust decide to extend the managed service agreement after the initial 7 year period. Further procurements will be required in future years under the managed service agreement for Blood Gas; Protein Electrophoresis; Immunology and Haemoglobin A1c. It is the expectation of the Trust that the winning bidder/primary contractor of this tender will be instrumental in supporting the Trust with these additional requirements throughout the life time of the contract.
