The contracting authorities are seeking a private sector development partner to participate and invest in a public/private partnership vehicle for the South East Hub Territory which will be established between the private sector development partner and some or all of the contracting authorities (to be known as HUB Co). Hub Co will provide (or arrange for the provision of) 'partnering services' in relation to the investment needs of the South East Hub Territory primarily to provide and deliver (or manage the provision or delivery through its supply chain) of a mixture of new build and refurbished facilities (including administrative facilities) for Community Services (within the sphere of primary health, well being, library services, education, children's services, residential and social care, social housing and other community based services to the public within the territory (Relevant facilities). The authority has a requirement for the provision of Medical Practitioner services to the Armed Forces Career Offices (Royal Navy and RAF) throughout the UK to carry out medical examinations, on potential recruits. The proposed Enabling Contract will be for an initial period of three years, commencing 1.10.2010, with the option to extend for a further period of 2 x 12 months options. The successful Service Provider will undertake the medical examinations within their own premises or from a suitably equipped Armed Forces Career Offices/Selection Centres during weekdays (Monday to Friday). These medicals will be carried out to exacting service standards. All medical standards and documentation will be supplied as required. The Service Provider shall provide a pool of qualified Medical Practitioners available to undertake medical examinations during the proposed period of the Enabling Contract. In addition the Service Provider must provide all equipment necessary (except specialist equipment such as Trade Wire Test and Holmes Wright Lantern) to conduct the full pre-entry medical including full audiometric testing and eyesight examinations in accordance with Service publications. The Service Provider will be responsible for acquiring GP reports if/when further detailed medical history is necessary. Within a 12 month period it is estimated that a total of 13000 Royal Navy and 5000 RAF medicals may be required to be undertaken, although this will fluctuate in accordance with annual recruitment programmes.
