Community Alarm Services Contract. Southern Housing Group Ltd (the Group) requires community alarm services to be provided throughout the Group's stock, where appropriate. At present, the provision is variable and prices vary. The Group would wish to make the delivery and price of the provision of alarm services far more explicit whilst attempting to achieve consistency throughout. Please note that the service specification does not include a physical presence response. Community Alarm Service provision does not include payments for physical attendance to individuals and should be limited to advice, help and support given remotely. The Community Alarm Service monitoring equipment should be Telecare enabled (or EU equivalent). The resultant contract for this requirement will be for a potential five year period. This will be made up of an initial term contract of three years. The initial term contract will contain anniversary break clauses for the Group. There will also be two separate option years that the Group may choose to take up dependant upon contract performance and costs. The contract is expected to be provided at a fixed cost for the initial three year term of the contract. Prices will be by negotiation for the two separate one year extension period/s. The supply of building cleaning services. Advance is a Registered Social Landlord providing accommodation to people predominantly with learning disabilities or mental health problems. Advance works on a national basis and provides services to properties from Nottinghamshire to the South Coast of England and Kent through to Cornwall. Accommodation ranges from one bedroom flats through to shared houses typically accommodating three or four adults with some staff to support and to larger shared homes for 8 or more residents where there might be staff cover on a 24 hour basis. Some of these will be considered to be Registered Homes. UK-Crewe: sports facilities operation services
Contract for the provision of golfing services at Malkins Bank Sandbach. Operational Management Lease for Malkins Bank Golf course. Malkins Bank Golf Course is a municipal golf course located next to the Trent and Mersey canal between the towns of Sandbach and Alsager, with excellent transport links situated only 2 miles from Junction 17 of the M6, The course is owned and managed by Cheshire East Borough council. The Council owns the freehold of Malkins Bank. It currently runs the whole operation in house (course maintenance, clubhouse, golf shop, green fee/season ticket sales and marketing) and there are no leases or licenses to third parties in respect of the property. All key personnel involved with the operation are employed directly by the Council either on a full or part time basis. The course itself was opened in 1980 and was the culmination of an award winning land reclamation scheme turning an unsightly tip into a popular amenity for the community. The course is also home to Malkins Bank Golf Club which was established in 1982 and provides membership for Gents, Ladies, Seniors and Juniors. The membership has remained stable over the past years and provides a full programme of golf and social events throughout the year. Malkins Bank golf course and the adjacent land has a long industrial history stemming from 1864 as a salt works and brine springs, alkali works in 1913 and salt works in 1923. Congleton Borough Council undertook remediation of the land under the guidance of a specialist company Harrwell. The land was subsequently redeveloped as a golf course and opened in 1980. While there is confirmed contamination in Malkins Bank Golf course through the investigations carried out it is clear that the contamination is not able to cause problems to the user of the golf course through their activities on-site.Cheshire East Borough Council (CEBC) intends to contract with a provider to operate and manage Malkins Bank Golf Course (MB) at Sandbach, Cheshire. MB is owned by CEBC and provides golfing facilities to the people of the area. The golf course has facilities and potential of further growth and development and being centrally located may also be suitably converted and used as a venue of social events which may considerably enhance the incoming revenue. CEBC are seeking a provider able to appropriately exploit the business potential of the golf course, while retaining the essential features and characteristics of the place, and maximise the income derived from this for the benefit of CEBC and the provider. The golf course is currently being operated under in-house management. CEBC would wish to consider various income generating mechanisms. In addition CEBC wishes to explore means of improvement of the facilities by investment made by the provider. The Contracting Authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME's). UK-Westcliff-on-Sea: hospital facilities construction work
Private sector development partner for Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (The Trust) is seeking to establish a relationship with a strategic development partner/Joint Venture property development vehicle (the "JVV") to work with the Trust to deliver innovative solutions to its property portfolio, with the challenge of reviewing the options to consolidate and manage the Trust's estate portfolio. The Trust believes that there are opportunities in working with an investor to release funding which in turn will support capital investment in its property portfolio and secure significant annual revenue savings. Should a JVV be developed current proposals are that it will take control of certain Trust assets transferred to it which may include (but may not be limited to): i) 8 houses adjacent to the main hospital site ii) Off site staff accommodation located in Westcliff, developed historically with a private sector provider, the Trust provided the land but retaining ownership of the freehold – there are opportunities to change the structure of this project iii) 5.69 hectares (14 acres) of land. This has a covenant which restricts any planning applications or change of use from planning class D1 until 2015. iv) A Multi storey car park and surface parking providing circa 1 600 spaces post completion of current site construction works The principle activities of the JVV may include the activities set out below:-. a) Packaging and disposal of the above listed sites to a third party developer; b) Providing management services to the Trust in relation to the Trust's existing estate portfolio; c) Wider estate management services to the Trust's other assets; d) Facilitating in the development of new services from the Trusts estates; e) Other property development and/or property management services in relation to any of the Trust's land/or building assets; f) Any activities associated with any of the above that the parties may agree. The Trust aims to create a Property Investment Partnership/JVV transferring ownership of some of its assets. The Trust investment would be matched by the private sector investment to develop the Trusts service requirements and ensure a 50 % interest for each partner in the partnership. This model is a proposal only and the Trust is willing to consider a range of options that would be of interest to an investment partner. It is the intention of the Trust to select a partner who will be able to work in a collaborative and supportive way with the Trust over a period of years and:-. i) Bring private sector skills and experience to assist in identifying and delivering the best route to maximise the value of its surplus estate whilst supporting the strategic direction of the Trust. ii) Engage in the overall estate strategy, developing an integrated holistic plan for estate development to meet the service delivery aspirations. iii) Identify other potential occupants/users of facilities or other commercial opportunities that make future developments financially viable iv) To deliver value for money and a return on investments There is potential for the Partnership/joint venture to take a developer role or carry out works or services in relation to additional future sites which the Trust may transfer in at a later date dependent upon the Trusts strategy and success of the Partnership/JVV. The Anglian Water region includes water and waste water treatment works, reservoirs and development sites from Humberside in the North to the Thames Estuary in the South and across to Northampton in the West. Anglian Water also provides water services to the Hartlepool area through Hartlepool Water. Anglian Water is under continuous pressure to drive down costs through innovation and more efficient ways of working so that cumulative benefits may be passed on to Anglian Water customers. Against this background, it is crucial to maintain a strong customer focus, continuous improvement in the delivery of water services and value for money. It requires a leading performance from Anglian Water as well as its suppliers to maximise these benefits. Anglian Water wishes to source suppliers who can provide courier services for adhoc, scheduled runs and out of working hours provision. The service is predominantly for the collection and delivery of Water samples. This may include the transportation of water samples to the main collection points or that have missed the deadline for delivery to the main collection points, or emergency out of hours samples that need transporting direct to the Central Laboratory at Huntingdon to comply with regulatory testing of water samples. 1012 Sludge Processing & Handling Equipment Thames Water intends to award a number of Framework Agreements for the supply of Sludge Processing & Handling Equipment for its Operational Sites. Thames Water has approximately 3500+ Operational Sites, ranging from small district Pumping Stations to large Water and Sewage Treatment Works, located primarily in London and the Thames Valley. The Sludge Processing & Handling equipment category has historically been worth approximately GBP 10 000 000 per annum. This Framework Agreement will supply the full spectrum of Thames Water's requirements from supporting Thames Water's multi billion pound capital program, to one-off operational replacements. Contracts awarded under the framework agreements may be awarded directly by Thames Water or by one of its approved contractors or an approved sub-contractor. The supplier will be expected to offer the same levels of service and commercial benefits to Thames Water and its approved contractors and sub-contractors. For single large scale requirements the supplier may be required to 'project manage' to ensure that all goods are supplied in a timely manner and project costs are minimised. Thames Water will consider how lots may be combined (If at all) subject to responses received from applicants and in particular where this is considered to offer economic advantage. Awards will be made to the minimum number of Suppliers required to ensure supply. Thames Water reserves the right not to award Framework Agreements for particular Lots. East Coast Advertising Campaign. East Coast Main Line runs fast, frequent passenger train services on the East Coast Main Line between London King's Cross, the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland. We are a subsidiary of Directly Operated Railways, which was formed in November 2009 by the Department for Transport when National Express lost the East Coast franchise. Our market divides into passengers travelling for leisure, business and commuting and the competitive context in which we operate includes airlines, other train operating companies (TOCs) and journeys made by road. Marketing Services are managed by East Coast's Central Marketing and Procurement teams and other marketing services such as media planning / buying and digital eCRM, direct and web activity including promotions are provided by existing agency suplliers. A number of design services are currently being brought in-house with the transition period to a fully operating studio planned over the coming 12 months. East Coast wishes to appoint an advertising agency which will take overall responsibility to launch and build the East Coast brand, starting with a step-change in recognition and attribution from April 2011.
