Cheviot Housing Associated Limited are looking to procure an organisation to enter into a JCT Design and Build 2005 contract to deliver their New build office accommodation, Planned Maintenance Department (PMD) including workshop, storage and associated offices and amenities and Associated external works at Ashwood Business Park, North Seaton, Ashington. The proposed Office Accommodation will be between 2 000 sqm to 4 000 sqm and a separate PMD which is proposed to be 500 sqm to 1 500 sqm. The successful organisation will be required to deliver all new build elements, associated external works. Bidders will be provided with a design package of information at ITT stage. The Clients Design Team will be novated upon appointment of the successful bidder. UK-Redcar: Filey, North Yorkshire. Coast and Country Housing (CCH) were set up to take over the ownership and management of the housing and ancillary housing assets from Redcar and Cleveland borough Council under a "Large Scale Voluntary Transfer" initiative (LSVT). Creation of the Company followed a successful ballot of the tenants of the council who overwhelmingly votes "yes" to a change of landlord, the promise of substantial investment in their homes and the enhancement of housing services. A total of 11 631 housing units plus a number of related commercial premises, offices and garages were transferred to the Company in July 2002. The Company's principal activity is the provision and management of housing and appropriate support services for people in housing need. As at 31.3.2009 the company had a total housing stock of 10 226 properties available for rent with these being predominantly houses and bungalows all located within Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council area. Approximately 90 % of these properties were built after 1945 with over 50 % built after 1964. In September 2009, the board of CCH unanimously voted to regenerate two of its main estates located in Loftus, East Cleveland, and Redcar, with the outlined density of existing stock dwellings, and the development of new build mixed tenure homes. To support the CCH 5 year development plan, approval was obtained to provide a 100 new build homes per annum, an important element in this delivery is the following scheme: Major residential development, Muston road, Filey, North Yorkshire. The development will incorporate 300 new homes incorporating external works and associated infrastructure. The scheme will provide a range of mixed tenure dwellings consisting of rented, shared ownership and open market sale properties. The aims and objectives are to provide a sustainable flagship development, creating a sense of place resulting in an exemplar scheme for North Yorkshire. Works will commence on site by the end of March 2011. Expressions of interest are sought from suitable experienced house builders and developers with the aim of securing preferred developer partner status early 2011. The preferred partner will enter into a form of development agreement with Coast and Country Housing to deliver the 300 unit scheme within an agreed timescale. Building construction work.
