UK-Stoke-on-Trent: design and construction of a new city centre bus station. Recognising the need to improve the City Centre and unlock the City's potential the contracting authority, North Staffordshire Regeneration Partnership and Realis (a private sector developer) have developed proposals that they hope will reinvigorate the city centre. The proposals involve an investment from the private sector of over 250 000 000 GBP, which we believe in itself evidences the private sector's confidence in the potential of Stoke-on-Trent. As part of the proposals there are plans to demolish the existing Bus Station to free up a site for a major new retail led development. The existing bus station will be replaced with a modern new City Centre Transport Interchange facility, befitting the regeneration aspirations of the sub-region, on the alternative John Street Car Park site next to the proposed retail development. UK-Pentre: construction work for school buildings
South East Wales Schools and Public Buildings Contractor Framework (SEWSCAP). A framework of pre-qualified and suitably experienced contractors to enable participating local authorities and other organisations to instruct design and construction activities in relation to schools and any other public buildings. The contracts allocated under the framework may include refurbishment and/or new build, and may involve single site projects, or groups of sites, including groups involving more than one authority. The framework will be divided into lots, to achieve a range of contractor sizes and abilities in keeping with the anticipated range of projects.
