Consultancy services for conducting an evaluation of the project 'dialogue for integration: Engaging Religious Communities' (DIRECT). The direct project aims to further two-way integration in the EU through the engagement of (migrant) religious communities. The overall objective of the project is the promotion of a positive and active role of migrant religious leaders as integration agents in the secular European societies by producing research data on their positions in integration and creating opportunities for their participation. The project in implemented by partners in Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, and Spain, and includes the following main activities: A) Outreach to religious leaders; B) Research on the role of religion and migrant religious leaders in integration processes in the European Union, incl. a research report; C) Establishment of national fora on religion and integration. The fora shall convene three times in each partner country; topics for discussion will be defined based on the findings of the project's research component. D) National and European study visits; E) Discussion paper with recommendations to the EU-level; F) EU-level forum to share experiences; G) Project evaluation; H) Publication of the discussion paper and the research report. The evaluation main focus should be placed on project activity C: "Establishment of national fora on religion and integration"; the fora shall convene three times in each partner country. The overall objective of this evaluation is to assess the efficacy of this approach for contributing to the integration of third-country nationals in EU countries. More specifically, the evaluation aims to provide key findings on the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of the overall design and implemented activities of the project "Dialogue for integration: engaging religious communities". Taking into account the current status of integration of third-country religious community leaders and their communities in the participating EU Member States, the evaluation is to present its findings, alongside a set of detailed recommendations, in a final evaluation report. UK-Coventry: street lighting - PFI. This contract notice advertises 15 street lighting contracts it is proposed will be entered into by the Contracting Authorities listed in section VI.3 (contracting either alone or jointly). Each of the advertised contracts is part of the UK Government's Private Finance Initiative (PFI) for street lighting. Each listed Authority (when procuring singularly) or group of Authorities (when procuring jointly) will formally determine its appropriate long-list of contractors which will be "pre-qualified" for their advertised contract. It is envisaged that each of the contracts will involve the removal, replacement and maintenance of substantial numbers of lighting apparatus within the administrative area of the relevant Contracting Authority / Authorities. In addition, the provider may be expected to replace and maintain items of street furniture and signage (illuminated and non-illuminated). Certain individual contracts may also include some associated telecoms, advertising, and traffic signaling and management services as well as services which are ancillary but related to the streetlighting services detailed above. The contract for Coventry City council will last for a duration of 25 years, however other Authorities contracts will have contracts that may vary from 20 to 30 years in duration. UK-Andover: education and training services
Education and training services. The Authority is seeking to select a contractor or contractors to deliver the requirement and reserves the right to award contracts for specific parts of the requirement to different contractors on the basis of their ability to deliver specific programmes according to the needs of the responsible Arms or Services Directors. Potential contractors may bid for any or all of the individual parts listed below. It is planned that all successful contractors will commence delivery on 1.8.2010. Owing to the way funding is provided resultant contracts shall be let on the basis of one year certain and 3 further optional one year periods. Note that the delivery of Apprenticeships is entirely dependant on the continued availability of LSC funding. Potential contractors for all parts of this requirement will be required to maintain centre approval status and ensure that proposed delivery will incorporate emerging Government initiatives such as the new apprenticeship standards and the QCF standards for unitised learning credits. Part 1 - The Royal Armoured Corps is based in the UK and Germany. Learners undertake apprenticeship programmes in Engineering Maintenance or Horse Care. Horse Care also covers the delivery of Animal Care to the Dog Handler Career Employment Group (CEG) in Melton Mowbray. There is also a significant number of Infantry Battalions performing an Armoured Infantry role. Part 2 - The Royal Signals consists of Units based in the UK, Germany, Cyprus. Soldiers may undertake a Level 2 or 3 Apprenticeship programme. Technician and Operating trades undertake Level 3 programmes in Communications Technologies (Systems) or Communications Technology Professionals. Driver Electricians undertake a Level 2 programme in Engineering Maintenance and Installation. This requirement currently includes the delivery of a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Communications Technology Practitioners to selected Infantry soldiers at Warminster. Part 3 – Infantry. A proportion of each Infantry battalion undertakes the Apprenticeship in Security at Level 2. Approximately 12 Battalions engage with the programme which is delivered exclusively in the Field Army. Part 4 - The Royal Logistics Corps has Units in the UK, Germany, Cyprus with soldiers undergoing Phase 2 training principally at Deepcut and Leconfield. The majority of RLC soldiers undertake apprenticeships in Driving and Logistics. There are a number of small CEG's undertaking programmes specific to their CEGs, including Port Operations, Postal Operations and Traffic Officer. Apprenticeship are delivered at both Level 2 and 3. This requirement currently includes the delivery of driving and logistics apprenticeship programmes to specific trade groups from the Army, RN and RAF. Part 5 – Royal Military Police (RMP). This Apprenticeship is still being developed and is not yet recognised or funded by the LSC. Formal recognition of this Framework is anticipated in January 2010. This requirement is dependent upon that recognition, and the availability of LSC funds. The RMP consists of units and detachments in UK, Germany and Cyprus. Soldiers will be enrolled on to the programme during Phase 2 training at Southwick Park, Hampshire and complete their programme in the Field Army.
