Estimation of the costs of non-OSH at macro level: review of methodologies that quantify the economic impact of work-related accidents and ill health. This call for tender invites bids for a policy-oriented review of models that quantify the economic impact of poor occupational safety and health (OSH) at macro level, providing an in-depth description and comparative analysis in order to understand the rationale behind the different estimates and get a better knowledge of the economic impact of poor OSH. The project focuses on estimates of the total costs of poor or non-OSH at macro level, but relevant models at sector or enterprise level should be taken into account. The analysis should be put in a policy context and formulate recommendations that are relevant for policymakers at European and national level. These recommendations should shed light on the main strengths and weaknesses of existing models, identifying the most significant gaps and providing suggestions for future estimations. Analysis and reporting should be relevant for all 27 EU Member States and the European Economic Area (EEA) countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) but existing models at national and international level outside Europe should be considered too.
