It is the intent of the client to award the contract to 1 Tenderer who can fulfil both categories or 2 Tenderers, one for each category. The intention is to make a contract for up to 3 years. The purpose of the project is to balance seasonal changes in the influx of tourists, thereby creating new jobs and increasing the industry's profit. The fundamentals of the project are the efforts invested into the marketing campaign Inspired by Iceland and to continue to develop the brand name. The primary focus is to advertise and promote Iceland as a year-round destination while seeking to encourage the general public in Iceland to be active participants in the campaign. The project is an integrated marketing campaign utilising a multitude of media, such as advertisements, social media, organised media tours, PR and event planning. Tenderers shall show some confirmation of co-operation and connection to medias in all markets that Inspired By Iceland will aim for, e.g. Germany, Scandinavia, France, United Kingdom, United States and the Netherlands as an example of markets. The estimated tournover for the project is up to a maximum of 600 000 000 ISK per year from September 2011 – September 2014.
