High heat flux test facility for in-vessel components. This procedure concerns the provision (possibly design, procurement and commissioning or alternatively the upgrade of an existing facility) of a high heat flux (HHF) test facility for ITER in-vessel components (IVC), principally the blanket first wall (FW) panels. Additional IV components may also be tested including the divertor inner vertical targets and ICRF antenna screens. The services concern: Initially, this facility will be dedicated to the series acceptance tests of the IVC which are part of the EU contribution to the ITER project. In the first phase of the contract (task 1), the supplier shall, based on a conceptual design elaborated during the bidding phase (competitive dialogue), prepare a technical specification for the test facility. In the second phase of the contract (task 2), the supplier shall procure the necessary parts and qualify the test facility. Typical parameters of the HHF tests of the IVCs (which will be carried out in the third phase of the contract) are given in the appendixes as the basis for the conceptual design and cost of the facility as well as the subsequent cost evaluation for the IVC's HHF tests.
