NHS SBs commercial procurement solutions on behalf of member organisations (listed in appendix B of framework document 9 - ITT Guidence Note) wish to receive tenders in relation to the provision of digital dictation goods/services, voice recognition goods/services and outsourced transcription goods/services. Provision of these services has been defined within the following lots: Lot 1 – digital dictation; the provision of digital dictation systems, including software, workflow management tools and associated support services. The system should provide a complete workflow solution from dictation to transcription and distribution (print and/or electronically) to GP's and PCT's. The system should be capable of integrating with trust PAS systems, plus enable typists to populate trust templates with patient demographics. Lot 2 – voice recognition; the provision of voice recognition systems including software, workflow management tools and associated support services. The voice recognition software must have the capability to fully integrate within digital dictation workflow systems and have the functionality to produce documents both front-end and back-end environments. Lot 3 – outsourced transcription: the provision of outsourced transcription services for medical transcriptions, including the ability to send and receive encrypted documents in compliance with all relevant EU and NHS data regulations. Tenders must be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing medical work and have the capability to integrate with trust PAS systems, to populate demographics to documents once they are completed and returned to the trust. The intention of this open procedure is to identify and award a range of capable providers onto a framework agreement to allow participating organisations access related goods and services without the need to tender individually. The authority envisage that it will enter into the framework agreement with a number of providers for each lot (those achieving greater that 60 % and passing all gateway questions) Participating organisations may also collaborate and conduct a joint selection and award process with the aim of ensuring standardisation/common platforms and also achieving improved commercial terms.
