The 16 page newspaper is published 4 times per year and is a prime route for communicating with all residents in Fife and therefore a high level of priority is placed on its design and production. It informs residents of the work, services and developments in public services throughout Fife; is a practical example of more joined-up working across public sector organisations as well as communicating information about such partnerships; and helps strengthen the links and contact between residents and all of Fife's major public services. There is also a statutory obligation under the Disability Discrimination Act for organisations to make information available in alternative formats. The Fife Partnership do not wish to exclude anyone from receiving information about services provided by community planning partners and "Fifelife" is therefore also produced in large print, audio, braille and on-line. Editorial control of the newspaper is the responsibility of a group of communications professionals from each community planning organisation. They are known as the Fife Partnership Communications Group. The group is currently chaired by a senior communications officer of Fife Council. The day to day management and production of the newspaper is managed jointly by Fife Council and NHS Fife. Financial control of the newspaper is managed by the Fife Partnership.
