English Heritage Publishing Department is seeking to appoint a roster of specialist printing suppliers for litho sheet-fed and short run digital book printing for approximately 500 000 GBP per annum print spend. Our objective is to appoint suppliers who will be able to offer all prepress, printing and finishing facilities on site and accommodate EH production manager with press passing facilities incorporating and operating to the ISO 12647/2 Colour Management programme printing conditions in order to work with English Heritage's own processes and our colour management policy. This includes the suppliers using the correct equipment both in proofing, plate making and printing. The litho printing would include approximately 15-20 short run academic books and leaflets together with up to 8 new guides and the reprint of approximately 30 guide books pa. In particular we are seeking those companies with expertise in all aspects of book printing to incorporate short turnaround time schedules required. The roster will service the publishing department who are resident in Swindon. The work has been divided into 2 lots as follows: lot 1: litho sheet-fed work and lot 2 short-run digital work. The awarded contractors will be expected to travel to Swindon office on occasions for meetings and sometimes for briefs.
